No, naturopathic treatments and lab investigations are not covered by OHIP. All visits and purchases are provided with an itemized receipt, which contains all the necessary information to be claimed by extended benefits.
Yes! Naturopathic doctors can order and interpret lab investigations and functional tests. Please note that the laboratory testing and requisitions are not covered by OHIP.
Lab tests are priced individually and are subjected to credit card processing fees.

A list or photo of all the medications and/or supplements you are currently taking, prescribed and not prescribed. This is important as it ensures safety and reduces any risk of drug interactions with your treatment.
If your visit is in person, you may bring a pair of shorts (optional).
You can purchase supplements at your preferred health store or via FullScript, an online dispensary. Please ensure you are ordering the correct item if choosing to purchase your products elsewhere to ensure efficacy of treatment plan. All supplements are priced individually and are subject to HST.
Lab investigations will be reviewed with you during your session before any orders are placed.
You will also receive a detailed list of recommended labs along with a quote.
Once you provide consent to charge your card on file, your LifeLabs requisition will be issued, which you can complete at any LifeLabs location convenient for you.
A copy of your results will be shared with you for your records during your lab review session.

Hyperpigmentation is not a common concern with facial acupuncture. Mild bruising can occasionally occur, though this is also uncommon. The treatment uses very fine Seirin needles, which create minimal, controlled inflammation to stimulate collagen production. Overall, the risk of hyperpigmentation, prolonged inflammation, bruising, or hematoma is low to rare.
